Jackson College of Education (JCE) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has donated assorted items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Schools and Colleges Sports Federation – Ashanti, organisers of the 2017 edition of the Ashanti Regional Inter-schools and Colleges Athletics Competition (INTERCO) as well Heads of over 30 participating schools.

The items ranging from branded T-shirts, calendars and exercise books to consumables were presented by the Director and Principal, Prof. Ebenezer A. Jackson and Mrs Theodosia W. Jackson respectively to support the organisation and development of the sports event.

Speaking to the media after the presentation, the Principal, Mrs Theodosia W. Jackson outlined the importance of the Inter-schools and Colleges Athletics Competition in unearthing talents to feed the national pool of athletes. She, however, urged the organisers to ensure that the outstanding athletes of the competition are nurtured with discipline in order for them to stay true to the sport and excel.

Jackson College of Education is committed to the comprehensive development of the youth and has over the years supported sports in the Ashanti Region at various levels. It continues to do so to promote sports not only in the region but the nation at large.
