Jackson College of Education (JCE) has donated sanitary items to the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital and the Agogo Presbyterian College of Education in the Asante-Akim North Municipality in the Ashanti Region. The donation was done by Mrs Theodosia Jackson, Principal of JCE in the company of staff of the College.
The gesture which forms part of the College’s Corporate Social Responsibility aimed to help curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). This follows a similar donation to the Kumasi Central Prisons and the Ashanti Regional Police Command. The College in its quest to contribute its widow’s mite to help fight the pandemic recently made a monetary donation to the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) and Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Blood Bank.
The items donated to the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital included Ten (10) packets of Toilet Roll, Two (2) Boxes of Sairo Handwash, Ten (10) Gallons of Sanitizer, Twenty (20) Cartons of Sanitizer, Eight (8) Veronica Buckets, Eighteen (18) Rolls of Tissue Paper, A Big Hamper of Toiletries, Three (3) Boxes of Harpic Power Plus, One (1) Pack of Harpic Toilet Block, One (1) Box of Mr Muscle Detergent, One (1) Box of Astonish Window & Glass Cleaning Agent, Two (2) Boxes of Sairo Handwash, One (1) Box of Lu Green Toilet, One (1) Box of Harpic Limescale, One (1) Box of Antiseptic Disinfectant and One (1) Box of So Klin Floor Cleaner.
Meanwhile, Agogo Presbyterian College of Education received Two (2) Veronica Buckets, Nine (9) Rolls of Tissue Paper, Five (5) Cartons of Sanitizer, Two (2) Gallons of Sanitizer, Three (3) Packets of Toilet Roll, A Big Hamper of Toiletries and a pack of Palmolive Handwash.
The Management of both institutions expressed their profound appreciation to Jackson College of Education for the timely donation particularly in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic as they believe the items donated will contribute to enhancing the sanitary conditions of their respective facilities.
Jackson College of Education has over the years supported various institutions and individuals such as Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, SOS Children’s Village, Ashanti Sports Federation etc. as a means to give back to society. An initiative which has won JCE both local and international awards.
